NaNoWriMo - I'ma writing a novel.

Just in case any of you haven't heard of NaNoWriMo before I'll give you a short summary.

NaNoWriMo Means 'National Novel Writing Month' The whole of November is dedicated to writing and completing a novel ( or in some cases writing a fraction of a novel). The goal is 50,000 words. At the end you get a certificate and a web badge to display and I would imagine a general sense of acomplishment.

This is my first year at taking part as usually I have thought about it, then forgotten and remembered half way through November. But I have been prepared this year. So from midnight tonight my goal for the next 30 days will be to write 50k words and hopefully have something that resembles a decent read.

I would hope it will turn out well enough so that I can send it off to a publisher, but we shall see.

I have at the moment absolutley no idea what I will be writing - no plot - no character outline - zilch. I'm not sure if that will be the best way to go about doing it but I have a feeling going into this with a clear mind may be better for me, nothing clogging up my thoughts.

As I mentioned before the goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days. It's seems a helluva lot to do but, I have decided to break it down to a daily limit of 2000 words, which gives me a grand total of 60,000 words. Yes, I realise I am adding on but this way it gives me two options; I can either finish the whole thing a day or two earlier -or- if I need to I can finish the novel within 60k. I hope to have written a complete book by the time december falls.

I have two web badges to display so I would like to place them here so that friends and you lovely bloggers can check back and see my progress ( if you care to)

Ok the word count widget doesn't work yet - but hopefully at midnight it will kick in.

3 hours until I have no life for a while :o

If you're looking for something to fill your time why not give it a go - nanowrimo.org Check it out.

Wish me luck

Oh my. What a week, I've been busy as fuck painting up the house so I haven't had time at all to get online D: it's going really well, and the plus side is I still have flu so I can't smell the paint : D Happy days.

So I'm spend about an hour or so on here and do my bit before slinking off down to buy more paint. I do wish that I lived with people right now, I reallly fancy a brew but can't be arsed tpo get out pf the warm bed.

Go make me a cuppa tea, please? ^_^

Ooh can we all buy mopeds? For two reasons really, I need a new hairdryer and this:

Decorating is such a bore.

Man I've been super busy today I started painting up my house, just bland magnolia for now, and the stairs and landing. The plan is to get it all done before christmas. New carpet on the stairs, flooring in the bathroom etc. That gives me about 2 months, can I do it? I fucking hope so.

Anyway, I have an hour before I go to bed to mooch on t'interweb. So I'll be nsy and click on over to your blogs, relax me for some sleeps.

Kinda stuff I have on my panting playlist, fuck yeahhh :3

Night all.

Monday Morning Blues.

I've had a pretty craptacular weekend, and I'm starting to get fed up and run down again, mainly about this blasted flu that just wont fuck off.

Anyway, didn't do a thing this weekend - truly lazy one. But it's monday now and things have to be done, sigh. I just want to curl up in bed and die, so if anyone wants to come tuck me in and bring me hot water bottles and drinks that would be lovely :3

This is the UK's version of Jerry Springer. Only less inbreeds and violence, this is hardly iolent and plus, Jezza Kyle did ask for it, I 'm just sad it wasn't a massive brick, smug cunt. Also, check out that dude's Skin... Ew.

There is no situation on this earth that would ever make me go on such a show, what about you?

Happy Friday - or is it?

Last Friday seems so long ago, sad times. This week has flown by, where did it go? D:
No plans this weekend, as I;m still doped up on meds so nothing to report or brag about here.

I have found this game which is incredibly frustrating but highly addictiv at the same time, give it a go, you might just enjoy it. The bes I have done so far is 80 seconds, which i imagine is crap, because I suck at games : D

More Free Online Games

Enjoy

yana otenki desu ne

Not much to report today, just a quick post, the weather is utterly miserable which is ok, because it gives me an excuse to keep the curtains drawn and stay in :D

How depressing.

I'm in love with this song at the moment, so I thought I'd share it with you;

I can't find one with the proper video that will let me embed, but I just wanted you to hear the track anyway, I think Tinie Tempah is gonna be fugging massive.

I've been craving sushi for the past few days ¬_¬ I don't even like fish or seafood for that matter, save for prawns :3 But I know why, this page seems to be covered in 'BUY SUSHI FOR £9' adverts, NO I WILL NOT BUY SUSHI. GET OUT.

If you have time, check out my friends blog too, she's new and in need of friends, I'm sure she will return the favour back. Touch Me.

I think I'm gonna go and get my pjyamas on and have myself a coffee break, only with hot chocolate because coffee is rank.

Urgh.

Not much to say today, it’s just been one of them days. I’ve had a major rethink about people who I want in my life and made some changes about who is good for me and who isn’t.  Far too many people are trying to fuck things up be it by spreading rumours or just causing general shit for me, I’m better than them and tbh I have no time for them at all. FUCK YOU, is all I can say.

Get your own ife and keep out of mine.

I found this the other day which is quite amusing. Clicky, clicky.

Hope you lot have all hd a better day :)

Sunday was a little bit of a joke.

Still not feeling too good I decided to drag myself out of the house and do something constructive. So after dosing myself up with varius pills and meds to make me look slightly less like a zombie. Off I toddled, to the train station where I was meeting my friend, jumped on the train where he was, (not literally ON the train, that would just be silly) and rode it to town.

The weather was looking rather bland so we decided it would be best to find somewhere to sit. He said he fancied some lunch so that's where we went, he's usually quite picky with what he eats but he chose Subway.

Yeah, now I'm not too familiar with subway to be honest with you, I have had it once and other times I have been in there with people I have been put off by all of the questions that they ask you and how they seem to be rushing you. Why can't I stand and browse instead of being forced into making a decision I am not 100% sure about? After all it's a sandwhich, and as a woman, I have been taught that they should be made with the upmost precision and as much care as you can muster. There was a slight queue about 5/6 people so I thought this might give me a little time to consider what I would like. Suddenly one of the guys in the queue were a little bit loud and after an altercaion with the 'sandwich arist' (I believe that is their job title) about how he didn't want the sandwhich toasted, he minced out of the store, yeah he was gay ( or just very effeminate at least) so his little bitch fit seemed all the more funnier when we approached the counter and saw this notice:

Maybe this was the actual reason for his little outburst... I guess we will never know... So in the end I decided not to have anything, i still felt as if I was under the spanish inquisition and not really comfortable about a stranger asking me my personal preferences, but because I didnt want anything, neither did my friend because he didn't want to eat alone. Anyway the jokes of the day started in subway after that they just seemed to be everywhere we went.

We decided to stop in a pub for lunch, the idea was a Sunday roast because it was sunday, but I decided against that and had good olde Eglish fish and chips. Yummeh, yes?
I treated myself to some lovely lemonade, because alcohol is still off limits, but as far as lemonade goes, I'll give it 7/10. My friend had picked up a paper while we waited for lunch, because I assume my company wasn't exciting enough for him and he felt that the free local paper would be more exciting. Well, it was actually. A story about David Beckham's Sister ( ex-sister or something, not quite sure) was in there and it took me a while to get it out of him just what was so funny, until I managed to prise the paper from him and read the article for myself, now it wouldn't be funny if I just told you so I will let you read it for yourselves:
Amazing right? I hope she never applies for Subway.

After the delicious meal and routing through the newspaper for other funny stories ( which we didn't find)  we headed off for a walk around the shops before they shut, strangely, there were less irritating people around today, hmm. We ended up in some little backstreets and were a little bit scared for our lives, 10 year olds in hoodies are terrifying OK? Boarded up windows on houses, most of the shops shut, but even though I felt I was being watched by the 14 year old mothers hanging out on the streets with their un-shoed, freezing babies, I couldnt help but guffaw at this wonderfully named shop:

Oh how I wanted that to be open, I was quite bemused by the placement though, is it right that Grandad's Sausage should be left so close to sweets & treats? I did look around, there were no suspisious vans lurking, we were safe on that front. After walking for quite some time we found a bus stop situated out side of a Tescos express ( like a 7-11, for you Americans) and while we were waiting for the one-every-hour bus I decided to go get some drinks, I'm not quite sure if every little does help, Tesco.

Not such a bargain after all. I bought water.

So, today has thouroughly cheered me up and I was distracted from feeling like utter poop. If most days were like this I could probably face being outside more but as it is, they wouldn't be. Plus, this just makes me realise how useless people actually are.

Overall a good finish to the weekend, I just wish it was a little bit longer.

Have you all had good ones? I hope so.

Does subliminal messaging work?

So at 3am I have decided I am playing certain REALLY POINTLESS games too much, Farmville, Frontierville, Cafe world etc. Many other point and click games, seriously I must click about 1500 times a day, click to plant, click to harvest, click to help friends, click to open... I might file a lawsuit if I ever develop carpal tunnel syndrome.  Zynga seems to be making millions as it is anyway, I’m sure they won’t miss a small amount. Just kidding  Zynga, I won’t be suing you there’s no form online for me to do such things.
If there ever was one I probably wouldn’t be able to use it.

[DO YOU WANT TO SUE ZYNGA?]
 -clickhere-  -clickhere- -clickhere- annnnnnd -clickhere-

Impossible, I’d have to call someone in to help me do that and I wouldn’t even be able to dial.

Goodnight : D

Saturday 2 October 2010

Oh Saturday.

Not really much has happened today, I've been snuggled up in bed drinking hot chocolate and watching trashy television, I have decided I am in love with Sheldon Cooper. His neurotic ways are just completely adorable.

Warning: This following paragraph may depress you.

Although we are only two days into October I have started today my Christmas preperation. Every year I declare I will be sorted weeks before christmas in order to save all the worry and stress of it, I'm not a fan of Christmas at all and if I could I would ignore it and not even bother. Who actually needs copious amounts of pointless gifts given to you by people you really couldn't care less about, work collegues you don't know anything about but feel obliged to buy something for because they have already told you several times that you will LOVE the gift they have gotten for you, will I, really? I doubt it.

Friends know that I would prefer not to recieve anything off them, that they keep their money and buy them selves something, but apparently that just isn't good festive spirit. That is the whole point, I am the Grinch. Slightly less green however, it still stands, I detest Christmas and I wish people could understand that. The bonus of this is I guess I don't have to go to town and I can buy what I need on-line. WHOOP.

Anyway enough of that.

Tonight will consist of doing absolutley nothing of value, surfing the internet and catching up on blogs. I like to see what you have all been up to and have to say about it. I have sadly been b& for two weeks from one of the websites that I use, and it has irked me a little, so I will have to find somewhere else to be clicking during that time ;) I'm sure the time will fly and maybe, just maybe, the appeal will actually get looked at.

As usual here is a video for your viewing pleasure, Jack Black today because I think he has a most beautiful beard and we all love Octogons, don't we? Yes, ofc we do, I think.

Friday 1 October 2010

Baby, did you forget to take your meds?

Firstly, Thanks to everyone for the comments and Follows, YOU ARE ALL AWESOME.

I went to the doctors after being ill for a while and was put on some meds, meaning I can't drink, so my plans to get utterly intoxicated tonight were shafted, pretty gutting, I guess I could have started them tomorrow, but as the day went on I started to feel shittier so I thought sod it, and the course began.

Still I had an immense time at the gig and both Lacuna Coil and Slaves to Gravity were beyond amazing. It was actually my first gig without drinking so milestone for me there D: and I managed to save myself some monies from what I would have spent on alcohol so I guess its all a bonus really.

Although I feel like shit, I'm on an after gig buzz and I know I should sleep I just know I wont be able too, gutted I couldn't go out to carry on the fun afterwards, but in all honesty who wants to be out when all your friends are drinking... Who wants to be the boring sober one. Haha, apologies if any of you aren't drinkers I'm sure you are super fun, but it's not my idea of a good time.

Right now I am looking through vidya's which have something a little bit special to them. and I thought I would share this little gem with you :3

The vidya truly facsinates me. It's awesome.

I would also like to apologise to my lovely friend Louise, who can't watch American Pie: The wedding right now because, Tony Curtis died. So on behalf of TC, Louise I am sorry that you can't watch the charming Stiffler chow down on some dog feaces.

I'm off to go stalk some bearded men now, Lataz

~Dora

Thank Gawd it's Friiidayyyy :D

I'm gonna be super busy today so I thought I would type this up now as I'll only have an hour or so online to be doing my thing later.

It's 2:11 am and I'm not sleepy at all, which kinda sucks because I have to get up for work in like 4 hours, eep! Friday means that it's time to relax and let my hair down, the weekend is my, and many other peoples, favourite time of the week. Usually I don't do much exciting but I have a gig tonight I'll be seeing Lacuna Coil, who are an awesome band and I haven't seen them before, they are playing my local venue which is tiny 400 person capaciy so for them that's quite an inimate gig. They have two support bands, Slaves to Gravity and I'm not sure of the other one, but you guys should check out StG, they are a smaller British band but hugely awesome and very underrated, so yeah check 'em out. You wont be disappointed.

I don't as yet have any other plans for this weekend, so I think tonight will include some heavy drinking, dancing and very loud singing. I deserve to have a bit of fun, methinks. I think I'll keep away from the mosh pits though, I'm destined to fall over, It'd just be my luck :P

Anyways I hope you guys have a fucking amazing Friday.

Peace Out,

~Dora.
